Welcome to Fairy Village
When I was asked to create a blog for this community I was very touched. However it took me a while to really think about the content that I wanted to put out there. I wear many hats in my life. I am an author. I live in the suburban “jungle” where I am a mother (aka the caretaker) to two amazing little natives. The natives run me ramped and bring me to the brink of insanity on a daily basis, however they are smart, funny and cute as can be so c’est la vie. And when I find the time somehow I also run a foundation which helps people to start or improve their businesses. I have even helped other authors to publish their books. So the more I thought about this new blog and what to do with it I decided to follow my own advice that I give every budding author out there, “start with what you know”.
So buckle up and join me for the ride. This blog is going to make you laugh, make you, “aww” and hopefully give some helpful advice along the way. It is meant to be a source of entertainment as well as a resource now and again. All opinions and advice expressed will be that of my own so take it or leave it as you will. And just know that I do what I do for a living for two big reasons:
1. My children are my main reason for all that I do. They are my inspiration, my constant role models and my reason for getting up each morning.
2. Because I believe in fairy tales. And giving children the gift of reading is one of the most precious and essential gifts you can give. After all, this is why fairy tales are so vital. In a world hardened by so many external factors beyond our control, I believe in preserving these sacred rituals and the joy that the belief in this kind of magic brings to children. It inspires them to use their imaginations, think outside the box and gives them the tools to create a better world.
