Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?
I recently published my first crime/mystery/suspense novel, Serpents of Nightmares. The book’s based on the stories of murders and serial killer, inmates from Saltwater Prison in Dorset, New Jersey. The tales haunts the night time prison guard, Stanley Edwards, and so do the victims of the serial killers.
I have total of 15 book titles in my library, and 6 books published.
Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?
From conducting studies in groups such as readers, authors, writers, and novelists, majority love to read true crime fiction or nonfiction. So I transformed my requests from a short survey to start writing more book titles on crimes/mystery/suspense. In just two days, I’ve already sold three copies of the book.
Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors to choose from, which book and author would you suggest to be your favourite and why?
My favourite author’s are John Saul, Dean Koontz, Apryl Baker, Simon Clark, and J.R. Tate. It depends on what the readers and authors are looking for in a book. For example, if the reader loves ghost, paranormal, and supernatural stories, I’d suggest J. R. Tate, and Apryl Baker.
I just finished J.R. Tate’s first book series Gifted Curse: Beckoning Souls. The book is awesome and describes the true ghost haunting of people who have the gift to help them get to the other side.
Apryl Baker’s first book series, The Ghost Files, is a great book too. It also describes ghost haunting of the main character who has the gift to communicate with ghost, and to help them get to the other side.
What guidance would you offer to someone new to the writing work, or who was trying to enhance their craft or business?
I started writing for the public audience in early January 2015, so I am still a new author into one year and eight months. The guidance I would offer to authors is to do your research.
Conduct studies and research on the web that will enhance writing skills. Two, read books, articles, short stories, and journals from author who writes work based on what you are writing; even your favourite authors can offer the best knowledge when progressing writing skills. That is how I recently got up on my feet is by reading books and work from my favourite authors.
Considering advice and suggestion from other authors, writers, and novelists is good too, but sometimes they can relate to personal opinions. As a new author, I don’t want that, I want to be different, unique in my way of writing; that is what makes us special.
